The Geneva Institute for Theoretical Sciences (G.IST) brings together experts in mathematics,

physics, computer science, and related fields ranging from biology to complex systems.

G.IST hosts one-week workshops at Villa Boninchi, offering a space where researchers can

exchange ideas, learn from one another, and explore new scientific directions. These small

gatherings of leading international scientists focus on major open questions and foster open

discussion, creative thinking, and new collaborations. By linking different disciplines, the institute encourages fresh approaches to complex challenges.

G.IST aims to advance scientific progress, strengthen Geneva’s international visibility, and create long-lasting benefits for research and society.
